I've a wife and two daughters as well. My daughters are 4 and 10. We camp a lot already, and lived through Katrina, so 'roughing it' ain't much of a problem, just a mild discomfort, lol. My wife is a crack shot with the .22 and decent with the shottie. The various centerfire rifles haven't been tested much with her. My oldest daughter loves shooting the .22 and air rifle. She's actually decent, and can put a squirrel/rabbit in the pot. The 4 year old, well..she's still young.

They all know what to grab/pack when we go camping. We do both tent and travel trailer camping, and have camped everywhere from the beach to the moutains, in summer and in winter, so they kinda know what to expect. Living in the rural south, we all know how to grow a garden, can food, fish, hunt, shoot, sharpen a knife, basic first aid, and boating as well. We all know how to swim and we can walk/hike more than a mile (I'm actually a long distance hiker myself).

My wife stocks up on female necessaties when we go camping, so our camper is pretty much stocked up all the time. We keep our camper ready to go cuz we camp about 1-2 times a month. We've two campgrounds about 15 minutes from our house, and half a million acres of National Forest about 30 minutes away.
